Description

The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price order with ADT Security Services, Inc to add an access control system for two buildings that will tie into an existing access control system. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6.302-1. ADT Security Services, Inc. is considered the only supplier, as they are the designers, installers, and maintainers of the current system and therefore, are uniquely qualified to install the access control system which will tie into the existing system. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
