Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) has a requirement for the procurement of mounts and cable assemblies necessary to integrate the Dismounted Data Automated communication Terminal (D-DACT), Mounted Refresh Computer (MRC) and Blue Force Tracker (BFT) with the Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV). This requirement is being synopsized as a 100% Small Business set-aside under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334419 with a size standard of 500 employees. The mounts and cable assemblies will be fabricated and delivered to mount the MRC and BFT components to the interior and exterior of the AAV. The D-DACT is a handheld Rugged Personal Digital Assistant (RPDA) device with embedded (Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) GPS Receiver and TacLink 3000 data modem to interconnect with tactical radios. The MRC is a digital communication system consisting of a Processing Unit, Display Unit and integrated or separate Keyboard Unit, and a Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR) with associated cable assemblies and mounting provisions. The BFT is similar in function to the MRC System but also includes a Satellite Communication Transceiver. The Processing Unit and DAGR are co-located and mounted in different locations dependent on the vehicle. The Display/Keyboard Unit are typically mounted near the Troop or Vehicle Commander's positions on the vehicle. The GPS Antennas and Satellite Communication Transceivers are mounte! d on the exterior of the vehicle in a location optimized for protection and performance. The Statement of Work and government drawings will be provided with the solicitation. A Request for Proposals (RFP) is planned to be released on or about 24 Feb 2009, with proposals due 30 days thereafter. All terms and conditions will be identified in the solicitation. This solicitation will be available to interested parties though the Navy Electronic Online (NECO) website (http://www.neco.navy.mil) and Federal Business Opportunities (http://www.fbo.gov/). It is the responsibility of interested parties to independently watch the website for updates to any and all documents. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their copy of the solicitation and amendments, if any. The written solicitation and amendments will not be issued. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in responding to this notice. In order to be eligible for award, interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Database (CCR) and Online Representation! s and Certifications Application (ORCA).
