- Description
- Description: The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source buy with Gordon N. Stowe and Associates, Inc. of Wheeling, Illinois, for the purchase of a Customized Acoustic System (Sound Booth), manufactured, fabricated and distributed by Gordon Stowe. This requirement is being procured in connection with mission objectives of the Audiology Department at the Edward Hines Jr., VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. To the best of our knowledge Gordon N. Stowe and Associates, Inc. of Wheeling, Illinois is the sole provider of the Customized Acoustic System (Sound Booth), that was initially apart of a prior design and construction project, which called for four (4) customized acoustic sound booth systems that due to funding, the VA was only successful in funding the fabrication and installation of three (3). The intent of this procurement is to complete the equipment purchase for the newly renovated Audiology Department at the Edward Hines Jr., VA Hospital that is compatible with existing/newly installed equipment. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 423450. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements aforementioned, then firms must furnish detailed information about its products and or services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and or services. This information must be submitted to the Contracting Officer within (4) calendar days from the date of this synopsis publication. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement, to include FDA approval/compliance certification. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Gordon N. Stowe and Associates, Inc. of Wheeling, Illinois.
