Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This synopsis/solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Solicitation No. DTFH70-09-Q-00002, being issued by the Federal Highway Administration, Simplified Acquisition Department with an intent to procure large diameter culvert to be delivered and offloaded in Elma, WA not later than July 1, 2009. This solicitation is prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12, the acquisition of commercial items in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation, evaluation, and award as prescribed in FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-29. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 331210 with an industry size standard of 1,000 employees. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming with the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. It is contractor responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. FAR Provisions and Clauses may be viewed and/or downloaded from http://www.arnet.gov/far/. Once this combined synopsis/solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Description of Requirement: 1. Structural Plate: One pipe (station 861+21) to be procured from the plans. Pipe to meet specifications shown at station 861+21, plus 10 feet. See attached.pdf file: culvert drawings_9.pdf, containing 9 drawings. 2. Pipe must conform to Part 603 of the FP-03: http://www.wfl.fha.dot.gov/design/specs/fp03.htm. Product Certifications are required on all material. 3. Pipe is to be wrapped for weather. Pipe is to be packaged and stockpiled in a fashion (i.e. palletized or similar) to enable re-loading onto highway legal trucks by WFL construction contractor when the time comes to transport to the project site. 4. Pipe needs to be delivered, offloaded and stockpiled at location specified in Elma, WA, no later than July 1, 2009.
