Description
DESC: Colville National Forest, Spring and Fall Blading. The Colville National Forest located in North Eastern Washington State has a requirement for spring and fall blading. The project will be located in Ferry, Stevens and Pend Oreille Counties, Washington State. The Contractor shall furnish all management, labor, equipment, supervision, tools, materials, transportation, operating supplies, supervision, workman’s compensation, unemployment insurance and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract. The project consists of road blading and other routine and reoccurring maintenance of roads throughout the Colville National Forest. The contract will be an Indefinite Quantity contract for a base year and two-one year option periods (for Fiscal years 2009, 2010 and 2011). One award will be made. Work will be assigned by the placement of Task Orders issued against the basic contract. The physical work and location will be identified in individual Task Orders. Contract time is estimated from May 1st through July 1st with a summer break and then September 1st to October 30th. The Government is estimating approximately 200 single lane miles (per year) of road. Actual amounts may vary as roads are surveyed and amount of funding becomes available. Government will guarantee at least 150 single lane miles for this contract. THe exact guarantee will be in the solicitation. Contractor will be paid for actual work performed. This project will be advertised as a written request for proposals. Estimated issue date of the solicitation is on or about February 19, 2009. Proposals are estimated to be due March 23, 2009. The actual due date will be listed in the solicitation. This acquisition is 100 % set-aside for small business concerns. The NAICS code is 115310, size standard is $6.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be posted at this site on the issue date.
