- Travis AFB intends to award a sole source order for one year preventive maintenance on VISX Excimer Laser System and VISX Wavescan Wavefront System to AMU USA, Inc. The excimer laser is highly sensitive midical equipment that myst be maintained to exact manufacturer's specifications to ensure safe and effective ophthalmic applications. The field engineers who will perform services required by the medical center have been trained and certified by the original equipment manufacturer, VISX, to perform the services on the laser system. VISX identified AMO USA, Inc. s the only company authorized to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. NAICS Code 811219 applies, size standard $6.5 Million. SIC 7699 applies. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F3Z4539022A001; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-29, Defense DCN 2009115, and AFAC 2008-1217. Period of Performance: 22 March 2009 - 21 March 2010 The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition.
