- The Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager for Ammunition, Quantico, VA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Atlanta Arms and Ammo, 721 Vine Cir, Social Circle, GA 30025, for 142,000 rounds of.45 Caliber 185 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point (JHP) ammunition. This requirement is in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Competition-In-Arms Program. This specific round from Atlanta Arms and Ammo has been developed for and tested by the Weapons Training Battalion for use in their competitions and is currently the only approved round of that caliber in their inventory. The estimated contract value is $61,912.00. The estimated purchase order award date is 28 FEB 2009. Deliveries will be begin within 30 days after purchase order award. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332992, Small Arms Ammunition Manufacturing. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, responsible sources may ! submit a response which, if timely received, must be considered by the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a white paper, technical data for the item, and past performance data no later than 28 FEB 2009 to Commanding General, Marine Corps Systems Command, Attn: Code PMM 2041 (Contracting Officer), 2200 Lester St., Quantico, VA 22134, or by email to wendy.thompson@usmc.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open basis is solely within the discretion of the Government. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DOD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR). Online Certifications and Representations at (ORCA), http://orca.bpn.gov, will also be required. Failure to comply with ORCA registration may make a vendor offeror ineligible for award.
