Description
NSN 1680-01-135-5838, PR 0018758180. Item: Fire Detector, Aircraft. The only approved sources for this item in regards to the specifications, plans or drawings relating to the procurement are: Meggitt Safety Systems, Inc. (Cage 25693) P/N: 3601-36-1050/550-12 or Kidde Technologies, Inc. (Cage 61423) P/N: 10-1005-550-12. DSCR does not currently have an approved technical data package for this item, nor can the information be furnished by the government. This procurement is suitable for competitive acquisition, however requires engineering source approval by the design control activity. Any manufacturer, other than Meggitt Safety Systems, Inc. (Cage 25693) P/N: 3601-36-1050/550-12 or Kidde Technologies, Inc. (Cage 61423) P/N: 10-1005-550-12 wishing to submit a proposal on this item must submit a complete source approval request (SAR) information may be found via http://www.dscr.dla.mil/sarguide.doc. This solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract for 36 each. This item is subject to Critical Application Item and Configuration Control. Government First Article Testing applies to this procurement. The First Article is due 274 days from date of award. Production line item delivery is 274 days after first article acceptance. FOB is Destination; Inspection and Acceptance is Origin. Delivery for this procurement will be STOCK. Automated Best Value System (ABVS) applies: the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. This request is for a written quote. Please submit offers in writing. The solicitation issue date will be February 13, 2009 with a closing date of March 16, 2009. A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DIBBS Website https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/ on the issue date cited in the RFP.
