Description

The Training Ship STATE OF MAINE is a U.S. Government owned ship provided to the Maine Maritime Academy for the purpose of training young men and women for a career in the U.S. Maritime Industry. This requirement is to deliver ten complete (except for helmets) National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) approved personnel protective ensembles to be used for structural firefighting aboard ship. Delivery shall be to the attention of the Chief Mate Brendan McAvoy, Training Ship STATE OF MAINE, Maine Maritime Academy, Central Receiving, Castine, Maine 04420. All items shall be delivered to the Training Ship State of Maine prior to April 15, 2009. Items to be delivered include jackets, pants, suspenders, boots, and flash hoods. Complete specifications should be available as part of a Request for Quotation on this website not later than April 3, 2009. Attention: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's), the DOT short term lending program (STLP) offers working capital financing and the form of lines of credit to finance acccounts receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 at the prime interest rate, as published in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75%. For further information call (800) 532-1169.
