Description
This announcement is a Request for Information (RFI). This is not a request for proposal and no award will be made as a result of this announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VISN 4 is seeking preliminary marketing information from prospective contractors to provide, install, and implement an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) clinical information system (CIS) and an anesthesia record keeping system (ARK). The NAICS is 518210. The scope of this initiative includes eight (8) Medical Centers in VISN 4 (six across Pennsylvania, one in Wilmington DE, and one in Clarksburg WV). The CIS and ARK will integrate information acquired at the point of care from a variety of medical devices. These include, but are not limited to: physiologic monitors (GE, Philips), ventilators (Maquet, Respironics, Puritan Bennett), anesthesia machines (Drager, Datex Ohmeda), gas analyzers, infusion pumps (B.Braun, Alaris, Hospira), intra aortic balloon pumps, and SVO2/CCO monitors. The CIS and ARK will need to integrate with other information systems including, but not limited to: VA's VistA/CPRS hospital information system (Lab results, user passwords, ADT, VistA Imaging, etc.), data analytic system, and each other (CIS & ARK). Respondents are asked to respond to the following: We are seeking information on the capability to provide CIS and ARK as a single product or as separate products. Address whether you offer a CIS solution, an ARK solution, or both. A Vendor Fair is planned for March 12, 2009 in Lebanon, PA at which time participants will be given the opportunity to present capabilities and concepts. Additional details about specifics of the fair will be provided to respondents. Interested parties are encouraged to submit their request to participate as soon as possible. In order to participate in the Vendor Fair, respondents must contact the POC by March 3, 2009. Due to space restrictions, each vendor will be permitted to send a maximum of five (5) people to this vendor fair. Requests to participate must be submitted via email to Seth Custer, Contract Specialist, at seth.custer@va.gov. Requests must include company information as well as a list of proposed attendees. Other questions can be directed to Seth Custer by email or phone at 717-228-6197 or Benjamin Grogg, Contracting Officer, at 717-228-5939.
