Description
Procurement of modification to 257 ea of NSN: 1680-01-151-6421, P/N 1534AS394 (GE P/N SYLC-52017) that results in new NSN: 1680-01-548-2924, P/N 1534AS1394 (GE P/N SYLC-52017-1) will result in a Definite Quantity, Fixed-Price Contract. Actuator, Electro-Mechanical I/A/W GE Aviation, CAGE 05624 DWG 1534AS1394 Rev "N" DTD 10JAN07 for End Item: F-18 Aircraft. This modification effort has been reviewed and approved by the Navy Engineering Support Activity; and it has been determined that GE Aviation is the only source capable of completing this modification. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared and approved at the appropriate levels for this acquisition. Functional Testing will be addressed in the Statement of Work, which will be included in the solicitation. FOB at Destination and Inspection/Acceptance at Origin. Higher Level quality system required. Total delivery: 274 ARO to NAVICP location. Unrestricted acquisition: no set-aside applies. Source control drawing, Configuration control, Export control, and Navy Critical Safety Item requirements apply. The 257 actuators will be provided as Government Furnished Material for modification upgrade. “A copy of the solicitation will be available via the DLA Internet Bid Board System at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/RFP on the same issue date cited in the solicitation. Choose the RFP you wish to download. Solicitations are in portable document format (PDF). To download and view these documents you will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is available free at http://www.adobe.com. A paper copy of the solicitation will not be available to requestors. The anticipated solicitation issue date is February 20, 2009.” This solicitation will result in an award as Definite Quantity, Fixed-Price Contract. This solicitation will be posted to the DIBBS.
