- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Iron Mountain, Michigan will be soliciting a construction project that shall include but not be limited to furnish labor, materials, supervision to perform work to Upgrade Iron Mountain's Electrical Distribution and Generators. The project involves construction of new electrical duct bank, new generator building, completing of the campus loop, installation of new transformers, replacement of Building #1 Substation, reconfigure CLC temp feeders, furnish and install (1) new 1.5 MVA 13.8 kw generator, install emergency switchgear in new building, and it may also include installation of ATS's in CLC Building, installation of an additional 1.5 MVA generator and paralleling switchgear, installation of 2nd WE Energies feed to campus including new primary loop and dedicated reserve, a switchgear to add remaining chillers to emergency distribution system, Reconfigure CLC Switchgear/distribution to meet current VA requirements and Connect Buildings #3 and #6 to emergency distribution system. The estimated construction cost is between $5M and $10M. The contract duration is 420 calendar days. The estimated award date of the contract is May 2009. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, which has a size standard of $33.5M in average annual receipts over the past three years.
