Description

The purpose of this amendment 5 is to answer questions. The deadline for submission of proposals remains as 5 PM on Monday February 9. Question: Will the customer consider a sprayed on elastomeric monolithic lining as an acceptable alternative to repairing the failing liner? Pool liners fail; this alternative is significantly more robust and will not fail. Answer: Secret Service will consider it provided the following information is given by the vendor: Pool they have applied it to that has an aluminum substrate, contact name and number at that pool, how long has it been installed, the length of the warranty for this material and how can the coating be repaired when damaged. Note that for any proposal received, all of the required elements stated must be discussed; see the entire solicitation. Question: Also, on the recessed stairs could you tell me if the liner is on top of the stairs, i.e. each step has liner on them or if the stairs are composite or fiberglass that the liner only is attached around the outside edge? Answer: The recessed steps are part of the Training Tank aluminum wall. They are totally covered with liner
