Description
The VISN 21 Consolidated Contracting Activity (CCA) is soliciting proposals for a contractor to provide twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days a week ground ambulance services for beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs. These services are to assure appropriate transportation for authorized beneficiaries between designated sites within the service areas of the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System (VAPIHCS). The anticipated period of performance is April1, 2009 through March 31, 2010 with two, one year option renewal periods, to be renewed at the Government's discretion. The contractor will provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance services to all of the defined areas and such service will include all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies that might be required. These services will be classified as Standard or Urgent. The contractor shall provide services to the combined service areas of the VA facilities listed in the Schedule to which award is given. The general service area spans the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu, Kauai, Maui, Big Island of Hawaii, and the Pacific Islands of Guam and American Samoa. The principle clinics of the VA facilities in this contract are in Honolulu (Tripler Army Medical Center Campus on Oahu), Lihue (Kauai), Kailua-Kona (Hawaii), Hilo (Hawaii), Agana Heights (Guam), and Pago Pago (American Samoa). The contractor must be able to provide service within the established parameters in the area in which a contract is awarded. This solicitation is unrestricted. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) of 621910 applies to this procurement. The solicitation package will be posted on or about February 23, 2009 on the FBO website. Offer due date and time for proposals, with technical documentation is included in the solicitation package. Offeror's are responsible for routinely checking this website for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued. No individual notification of any amendments will be provided. It is required that all contractors at time of award must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), www.ccr.gov.
