- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable.MARKET SURVEY - SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: The Government is issuing this sources-sought announcement as part of a market survey for the manufacture of the TR-333 Hydrophone Housing in accordance with Drawing 53711-6029163. Potential offerors must be registered with the Joint Certification Program (JCP) in order to view the drawing - http://www.dlis.dla.mil/JCP/Default.aspx. Once registered with JCP, send request for drawing to brooklyn.schnarr@navy.mil providing company name and CAGE code. The housings shall comply with all requirements stated in the drawing unless otherwise indicated in this synopsis. Respondents should note the tight tolerances on the drawing and ensure they are able to meet these requirements. Included below are exceptions noted to the drawing: - The housing shall be manufactured as a one piece unit. Refer to Note 17.- The surface finish on Sheet 2, Zones B4/C4, dimensions 1.125-1.127 andsurface Datum E, shall have a maximum surface finish of 32? versus 63?. The respondent must be able to demonstrate the ability to manufacture these housings in a timely fashion. It is anticipated that first article testing provisions for 10 housing units will be included in the Request for Proposal. Upon award and successful completion of first article inspection, the contractor will be cleared for production of remaining housing units. Interested organizations who feel they possess the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the Government the following information; point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, email address, duns number, cage code and/or tax identification number, as well as business size category (larger, small, small disadvantaged, etc.), a brief summary of the company's capabilities, description of facilities, personnel, related manufacturing experience, and existing safety approvals. Any supporting information such as commercial literature, catalogues, manuals, etc. should also be provided. Technical questions should be sent to Nick Keller - nick.keller@navy.mil - 812-854-5331.
