- This requirement is for Performance Based Logistics (PBL) support of various Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and associated components used by the Navy. The APUs are required in support of the F/A-18 A-D, F/A-18 E-G, P-3, S-3, C-2 and KC-130 Aircraft. PBL support is also required for the EDC used on the P-3 Aircraft and F404 Main Fuel Control used on the F/A-18 A-D. Subject requirement is for 10 years of PBL support, including a five year base and one five year option. This requirement is sole source to Honeywell International, Inc, of Tempe, AZ (02LU7). The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Sources that are not approved for repair or manufacture of this item must submit the information detailed in http://www.neco.navy.mil/sar.cfm, Source Approval Information Brochure. This brochure identifies technical data required to be submitted based on your company's experience in the ! production or repair of the same or similar items, or if this is an item your company has not previously manufactured or repaired. This brochure can be obtained by calling NAVICP Phila at 215-697-4243. You may also obtain this information online by searching for "source approval request" at www.navsup.navy.mil. If your request for source approval is currently being evaluated at NAVICP Phila, submit your offer with a copy of the cover letter which forwarded your request for source approval. Offers received which fail to supply all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not be considered for award under this solicitation. Please note that if evaluation of source approval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time to meet Government requirements, award of the subject requirement may continue based on Fleet support needs.
