Description
The VA Medical Center, Walla Walla, Washington, intends to award at least one Blanket Purchase Agreement for ground ambulance services in the general vicinities of Yakima, Washington, and Richland, Washington. This is NOT a solicitation. The solicitation VA-260-09-RQ-0244 will be available on or about February 19, 2009, and may be requested by sending an email to the Contracting Officer. Solicitation documents will only be available in electronic format and hardcopy documents will not be issued. Proposal will be due two weeks after issuance of the solicitation documents on or about March 5, 2009. DESCRIPTION. The Contractor shall furnish Advance Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance services for eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located in Richland and Yakima Washington. Services shall be provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Upon the request of authorized CBOC staff, the Contractor will provide Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance transports of patients to designated locations. The Contractor may be required to transport patients to another facility for treatment or tests, wait, and transport same patient to a pre-determined destination. The services discussed in this solicitation are for the general vicinities of Richland and Yakima, WA. The vehicles, personnel and services rendered will conform to all federal, state and local statues, rules and regulations; including, but not limited to the state of Washington, Department of Health EMS and Trauma System at http://www.doh.wa.gov/hsqa/emstrauma/ and Statutes, Rules and Legislation at http://www.doh.wa.gov/hsqa/emstrauma/rcwindex.htm; and all local codes, laws, regulations, rules and statutes. All responsive offers received from responsible businesses by the due date noted in the solicitation will be considered for an award.
