Description
This announcement facilitates issuance of Federal Aviation Administration, Aviation System Standards Screening Information Request (SIR) for "Power by the Hour" Engine Maintenance Services. The requirement supports the mission of AVN Aviation Maintenance Engineering Group (AMEG) FAA owned Pratt Whitney PT6A-60A Engines and related components. A competitive environment of Small Business Sources is anticipated for this requirement and the acquisition is 100% set-aside to Small Businesses with NAICS 336412 Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing. The SIR (Request for Proposal) states the service requirements, provides the provisions, and prescribes the instructions for submittal of proposal and evaluation criteria for selection of the awardee. Refer to the attached SIR Pages 1-52 plus attachments). Contractors must have an active registration in the Central Contractor Registration website at Http://www.ccr.gov before an award can be made. For informational purposes to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small business owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLF) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
