Description

The Fleet Readiness Center (FRCE), MCAS, Cherry Point, NC has submitted a requirement for the procurement of Panels to be utilized to retrofit all H-1 Re-Man aircraft to correct a severe hazard to flight by the H-1 Re-Man Support Team-Cherry Point. The Government intends to procure the panels from Bell Textron, 600 East Hurst Blvd., Hurst, TX 76053, on a sole source basis. Bell Textron is the only known company that can provide the panels. The Government intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Bell Textron under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 based on the belief that Bell Textron has the proprietary data and engineering rights to the technical data for the design of these items in support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) and for the safety of flight concerning the H-1 Re-Man Fleet. The items under this acquisition is subject to the Buy American Act—Free Trade Agreements—Balance of Payments Program.” This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis and they shall be considered by the Government. The NAICS Code is 336411 with a corresponding size standard of 1000 employees.
