- Contractor shall provide labor, transportation, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision to perform the following summary of work located at Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna (DDSP), New Cumberland and Mechanicsburg PA. The following summary is for the purpose of general information and is not intended to include and describe every feature or item or to define the scope of work. Project Description: Install, repair, maintain and certify fiber optic and copper Category 6 UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cable at DDSP New Cumberland and Mechanicsburg PA. This project consists of performing the following items, but is not limited to these items alone: (1) Install, repair, terminate and certify; in accordance with industry standards, new fiber optic and/or copper cable in various DDSP warehouses and administrative buildings at both sites; (2) Test all cable runs and termination end points with a cable analyzer, Optic Time Delay Reflectometer/Power Meter (OTDR) or equivalent; (3) provide as-build drawings of cable installation in AutoCAD, Version R14 or greater. All work shall be performed complete and in accordance with the Performance Work Statement. Period of Performance: Contractor shall commence work upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and shall complete work in accordance with the task order specifications. Working Hours: Normal hours of work shall be between 0700 and 1530, Monday through Friday excluding any Government holidays and base closures. This acquisition is being competed on a full and open basis. The resulting contract will be a requirements contract. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 238210 and the Small Business Size Standard is $14 million. The magnitude of this construction effort is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The tentative timeframe for issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP) SP3100-09-R-0009 for this requirement will be the week of February 16, 2009. Access to the solicitation package will only be made available to prospective offerors via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http: www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. Any questions concerning this project should be directed to the Contract Specialist Joline McDonald at joline.mcdonald@dla.mil. All questions should be submitted in writing via email to the above. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the website for any amendments that may be issued under the RFP. There will be no advance notification of amendment issuance. Prospective offerors are advised to consult the Federal Business Opportunities website frequently to check for any amendments. Amendments may be issued up until the proposal due date. Failure to acknowledge amendments may render your proposal ineligible for award. To receive awards resulting from solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, your company must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contractor may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http:// www.ccr.gov. Prospective contractors shall also complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with required registration the CCR database. All responsible offerors may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. The Government intends to award one contract as a result of this RFP. Award will be made to the lowest priced technically acceptable proposal. An offeror must be determined responsible according to the standards of FAR Subpart 9 to be eligible for award.
