Description

THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) (AIR-2.4.4.2) intends to issue a sole-source modification to Contract N00019-08-D-0013 with The Boeing Company for the procurement of nine (9) months bridge effort for Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Services. This modification will increase the contract ceiling by $90,000,000 and fulfills an existing requirement on an interim basis until a competitive follow-on award can be made. A follow-on competition for UAS ISR Services is in preparation. An informational synopsis regarding the follow-on competition was posted on 13 February 2009 (Solicitation N00019-09-R-0223). The modification is being pursued on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. While this notice of intent is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may submit capability statements in accordance with Numbered Note 22.
