Description

This project involves installation of VFDs on 2 existing Carrier 19XL chillers; installation of 3 VFDs on cooling tower fans; and replacing and reprogramming existing Alerton IBEX central plant controls with new Alerton BACtalk central plant controls and integration with the Alerton IBEX controls for the remainder of the building. The performance period will be approximately 5 months, including design. This acquisition is an unrestricted procurement pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (FAR 19.10), for NAICS 238220. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered. Selection will be by best value considering price and nonprice factors. Proposals will be required to include a schematic design and identification of major products to be installed. We anticipate requiring oral presentation of the schematic design. A solicitation will be posted to this site in the near future (approx. 3/4/09). A document security agreement must be executed and submitted prior to being given access to building drawings and other technical information. This agreement is being posted. A pre-proposal meeting/site visit will be held at 8:00 AM Pacific time, Monday March 9, 2009, at the Hagel Federal Building, 1221 Nevin Ave., Richmond, CA. Attendance is strongly recommended.
