- Description
- The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, tools and supplies to complete a common stand exam on approximately 4500 plots on the Fourche and Caddo/Womble Ranger Districts of the Ouachita National Forest. Work will consist of locating sample points within pre-defined stand areas, establishing those points by physical marker and latitude and longitude geo-reference, then measuring and recording individual stem data around those points using a Forest Service supported handheld electronic data recording device and the Common Stand Exam protocols of the Forest Service FSVeg program. Each data collection point will consist of; (1) a variable radius 10 Basal Area Factor (BAF) plot, and (2) a 1/300th – acre fixed plot, each from a common plot center. This is a Request for Quotes which will result in a firm-fixed price contract and is set-aside 100% for small business. Award will be made based on the best value to the government and can be made on the initial offer. The technical point of contact for this procurement is Jo A. Smith, (501)321-5250.
