- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. There is no solicitation available at this time. This Sources Sought Synopsis is published for Market Research purposes only. The Specialty Center Acquisitions NAVFAC (SCAN) is seeking qualified 8(a), HUBZONE Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Small business sources to provide engineering and support services to the Amphibious and Expeditionary Department of the Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center (NFESC). The work includes engineering and support services of advanced technologies, equipment, techniques, and systems for the Navy and Marine Corps warfighters in areas directly related to Research, Development Test & Evaluation (RDT&E), expeditionary logistics support and construction, and water front barrier force protection. The work will be performed in support of various Navy/Marine Corps and Federal government programs at any location world-wide. The following are examples of work th! at may be performed under this contract: (1) Harbor/Waterside Security, (2) Sealift Support Program projects, (3) Seabasing Systems, (4) Petroleum and Water Purification and Distribution Support, (5) Water Purification Systems, (6) Naval Logistics Integration (NLI), (7) Naval Construction Force Operations and Protection, (8) Distributed Operations, (9) Navy/Marine Corps Interoperability, (10) Logistics Information System, (11) Military Utility Assessment of Advanced Technologies including assessment and experimentation of new and advanced technologies for Navy and Marine Corps or Joint Forces Expeditionary Operations. The purpose of this synopsis is to identify interested/qualified small business sources to determine if a set-aside is warranted. The applicable North American Industry Classification Code is 541330, which has a small business size standard of $4,500,000.00. Only a brief statement of qualifications (not to exceed five (5) pages) is requested at this time. At ! a minimum, provide the following information in your submittal: 1) Name of company; 2) Name of company's point of contact, including address, phone and e-mail, 3) Identify the type of entity (small business, 8(a), HUBZone small business, SDVOSB, etc.). Interested small businesses should review and understand the requirements in Federal Acquisition (FAR) Part 19 and FAR clause 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting. 4) A statement of qualifications to include experience relative to this procurement, or any other information that clearly demonstrates the respondents capabilities, expertise and experience to perform the requirements. General marketing material may be included but must fall within the (5) page submittal requirement. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this Sources Sought Synopsis nor will it reimburse the respondent for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. This synopsis does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), or an Invit! ation for Bid (IFB), nor does this issuance restrict the Government's acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or in part any industry input as a result of this announcement. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be a part of your submittal. If so, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information. All submittals received will be reviewed for informational purposes. SCAN and NFESC reserves the right to independently verify all information submitted. Interested vendors are encouraged to identify themselves as such at the FedBizOpps website for purposes of furthering teaming arrangements and subcontracting opportunities. Submittals may be made individually or as a prospective team. Joint Ventures (JV) must submit JV approval from the Small Business Administration. Send submittals to: SCAN, ATTN: MS.
