AMENDMENT 3 OF THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION W91WAW-1026-828-8000/ W91WAW-1026-828-8001 (NEW RESPONSE DATE IS NOW 24 FEBRUARY 2009 AT 3:00 PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME) JANITORIAL SERVICES QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS QUESTION: What is the current bid for this work? ANSWER: There is not a current contract in place QUESTION: How many workers are there everyday? ANSWER: This is performance based, contractor determines how many people it would take to complete the task. Please refer to the Performance Work Statement for full details (W91WAW-1026-828-8001) QUESTION: Is any striping and waxing part of this solicitation? ANSWER: No, there is no striping and waxing requirement QUESTION: There is no mention of a restroom. Is there a restroom for these offices? ANSWER: There is not a requirement for bathroom cleaning in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). QUESTION: I see two different Place of Performance locations. Slidell, LA and 5200 Army Pentagon, Room 1D245 Washington DC. Which is correct? ANSWER: Slidell, LA QUESTION: It also mentions under 3.4 Facilities that the Government will furnish desk space, telephones and computers but there is no mention of a janitors closet. Is there space to keep cleaning supplies? ANSWER: No space is available to store/keep any cleaning supplies. QUESTION: Is this a new requirement? If not, what is the dollar amount of the current contract? ANSWER: There is not a current contract in place. QUESTION: : Is this requirement subject to the SCA? ANSWER: Yes, the Service Contract Act (SCA) is applicable. QUESTION: When will the site visit be conducted? ANSWER: Yes, if requested before close of the announcement date (12pm, 24 Feb. 2009) a walk through would be coordinated with: Douglas W. Wethington Resident Agent in Charge DCIS, New Orleans RA Office: 985-639-8027 QUESTION: What is the sq ft of the area that needs to be cleaned? ANSWER: The contractor shall provide services to four (4) rooms totaling no more than 1800 Square Feet. It can be found in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) Part 1 (General Information), section 1.3 (Scope). QUESTION: What needs to be cleaned (office space, hallways, kitchen, restrooms, etc.)? ANSWER: The specifications are in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) that can be found from Amendment 1 (W91WAW-1026-828-8001). QUESTION: What equipment/supplies will the government provide, if any? What supplies will the contractor be asked to provide (light bulbs, toilet paper, soap, napkins, etc.)? ANSWER: The government will not be providng any equipment/supplies. The contractor shall provide all equipment/supplies necessary to complete all tasks. QUESTION: Is there a contractor currently cleaning the facility? ANSWER: No QUESTION: If so what is the monthly or yearly amount being paid? ANSWER: Not applicable QUESTION: How many days per week is the building cleaned? ANSWER: Three (3) days a week. The specifics are in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) that can be found from Amendment 1 (W91WAW-1026-828-8001) QUESTION: Does the contractor furnish all paper products and supplies? ANSWER: The contractor shall provide all equipment/supplies necessary to complete all tasks. QUESTION: Is the bid to be submitted with a SF1449? If not, what is the proper method? ANSWER: No, Contractors format, signed and dated copy will be acceptable. QUESTION: I'm emailing you regarding Solicitation #W91WAW-1026-828-8000 and was wondering if you had plans to post Building information and if any walk-thru's are scheduled. ANSWER: Yes, if requested before close of the announcement date (12pm, 24 Feb. 2009) a walk through would be coordinated with: Douglas W.
