- This will be a 5 year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). NSN 1005-00-600-8976, Part Number 6008976, The item to procure is an EXTENSION ASSEMBLY, FIRING PIN. Requirements are a guaranteed minimum quantity of 2,500 each and a maximum contract quantity of 75,000 each, EXTENSION ASSEMBLY, FIRING PIN USED ON 50 CAL M2 MG, CONSISTS OF FIRING PIN EXTENSION P/N 6008946, SPRING P/N 5009353 AND PIN P/N 5009382. FIRING PIN EXTENSION IS MADE FROM STEEL, ASTM A331:4130, 4140, REQUIRES HEAT TREATMENT TEMPER, FINISH PER 5.3.1.2 OR 5.3.2.2 OF MIL-STD-171. APPROXIMATE SIZE IS 4.67 INCHES LONG X.493 INCH DIAMETER. SPRING IS MADE FROM.061 WIRE, HEAT TREAT/STRESS RELIEVE AND FINISH PER 3.3.1 OF MIL-STD-171. PIN IS MADE FROM STEEL ASTM A576:1095, HEAT TREAT/OIL QUENCH & TEMPER, FINISH PER 5.3.2.2 OF MIL-STD-171. SIZE IS.482 LONG X.099 DIAMETER. THE MANUFACTURE OF NUMEROUS TEST GUAGES IS REQUIRED. FOB is DESTINATION. For use on the.50 CAL MACHINE GUN M2 MG. Estimated solicitation issue date is 09 MAR 2009. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
