Description
The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) located in Arlington, VA, is seeking eligible sources capable of completing work as descried below. Delivery of training to Fish and Wildlife Service's (Service) employees and contractors. BACKGROUND: The Service manages millions of acres of property in the public trust, and is responsible for performing operations that are subject to regulation by state and federal agencies. The Service has the responsibility of providing high-quality environmental compliance training to its employees and contractors, through formal classroom presentations, video media, information briefs, and other mechanisms. WORK DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall be responsible for coordinating with the Service on providing environmental compliance and related training, as necessary. Training may take several formats, including classroom sessions, field training, and studio training in audio and video formats. A. The purpose of Environmental Compliance Training (training) is to: 1.Provide training to new employees and contractors on the applicability of environmental regulations to their facilities and their specific duties;2.Provide refresher training to existing employees on the applicability of environmental regulations to their facilities and their specific duties within the specified periods; and3.Provide training on hazardous materials management, hazard identification, and hazardous waste management. Service staff may augment training presentations and provide necessary support materials for inclusion in the training manual. Topics presented may include, but are not limited to the following subjects:a.actions when unexploded ordnance is discovered; b.the Service's Environmental Management System (EMS) program; c.Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans; d.recycling, e.green purchasing, f.used oil and universal waste management, and g.other Service environmental policy issues. A Blanket Purchase agreement will be awarder to the best value respondent for five years with a total five-year threshold of $800,000.00. Small Business NAICS code 541620 size standard $7M.THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A request for proposal will be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov February 23, 2009.
