- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the provision of providing Instruction in Automotive Service Excellence Certified Motor Vehicle Repair for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex, Victorville, California (FCC Victorville). It is anticipated that this RFQ will result in an award of a single contract that shall consist of a twelve (12) month base year, and the possibility of four (4) twelve (12) month option years. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. Award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The estimated number of courses will be nine (9) for the base year and each of the option years. Instruction will be for three (3) courses to be taught three (3) times per year. The Contractor shall be a junior or community college, listed in the directory entitled Accredited Institutions of Higher Education, Western Association of Schools and College. All other qualifications and requirements will be detailed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be made available on or about March 10, 2009 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation and amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about April 7, 2009. The solicitation is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 611210 with a size standard of $7.0 million. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The anticipated date of award is May 1, 2009.
