Description
The U.S. Government is soliciting interest for Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) contracts to provide real property repair and maintenance, environmental work, force protection work, and construction services for US Forces and/or Facilities throughout Romania. Use of the MATOC will provide the Government with a construction product delivery method that can accommodate quick and straight-forward projects, as well as some small but complex projects, and can help minimize design effort and related overhead expenditures, as well as handle compressed schedules. There is one solicitation for three or more contracts awarded as a result of this one MATOC solicitation. Task Orders will primarily address new construction, design-build, general building renovation, road and pavement repair, and general environmental work including, but not limited to, incidental minor construction, excavation, plumbing, demolition, electrical, structural, mechanical, concrete work, and environmental remedial work. Contracts with a base year and two (2) option year periods are contemplated at an estimated cost range of $15,000,000.00 or $25,000,000 in any one period and not to exceed $50,000,000 for the life of the contract. Responses are desired from firms who can demonstrate recent experience and past performance in design/construction in Romania, but expressions of interests will be accepted from all interested parties. Solicitation will be issued on or about 26 March 2009. Prime construction firms are required to provide their physical address, along with a telephone number, facsimile number, an English-speaking point of contact and e-mail address. Requests that do not provide complete information will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information provided. The solicitation will be issued free of charge by downloading from a designated website. The website address will be provided to all qualified offerors at a later date. All requests for interest in this solicitation must refer to solicitation number W912GB-09-R-0025 and be sent to the attention of Ms. Lee. Requests may be sent by facsimile: +49-611-9744-2618 or by e-mail to: Myrlande.Lee@usace.army.mil. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Cancellation with no obligation Note to offerors: The Government reserves the right to cancel any or all of the solicitation(s), either before or after the proposal opening with no obligation to the offeror by the Government.
