- This publication serves as notice of intent to procure supplies for the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory located in Seattle, WA on a sole source basis with Paine Electronics, LLC. The government intends to acquire supplies using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Proposed vendor will provide quantity of 100 each Model 211-30-660-01 Pressure Transducers with pressure range: 0-1000 PSI, Sensitvity:3MV/V, output Resistance: 900 OHMS Fitting:MS33656e4 and Hex:3/4". Paine Electronics is the only manufacturer of this pressure transducers model #211-30-660-01 with specified characteristics and they make them on custom order basis. Since 1995 NOAA PMEL has purchased over 650 units of these instruments and they have been deployed in the ocean and tested in the laboratory. This procurement is to supplement the existing suite of sensors as well as provide replacements for those lost at sea or damaged during deployment. These supplies are to be used in existing sensors for replacement and repair as well as for assembling new sensors which exact compatibility with existing circuit board and housing is imperative. The government intends to negotiate a firm- fixed price contract with required delivery date of no later than July 20, 2009. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. This is a small purchase action estimated value not to exceed $100,000.00. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) as of October 1, 2003. After this date, NO award can be made unless the vender is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http://www.ccr.gov. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
