Description
The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has a requirement for a qualified Contractor to provide Local Guard Services at the American Embassy in Vienna, Austria. The U.S. Tri-Mission in Vienna will require the operation and management of Local Guard Services in order to prevent unauthorized access, protect life, maintain order, deter criminal attacks against employees, dependents and property and terrorist act against all US assets, and prevent damage to Government property. The Contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work as required in the contract. The estimated number of annual hours for guards (including 8760 hours for supervisor) is 100,012. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forthcoming periods. Anticipated performance is for one-year base period and four one-year periods at the option of the Government. Major duties and responsibilities are to perform access control to limit entry to only authorized personnel or visitors, the operation of walk-through metal detectors, handheld detectors, and special monitoring devices. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. This solicitation will be issued via the FedBizOpps – no paper copies will be mailed. This requirement was previously announced under solicitation number SAU900-08-R-0544. It will now be issued under Solicitation Number S-AQMMA-09-R-0114 by the U.S. Department of State's Office of Acquisitions Management, A/LM/AQM/WWD/LGB, P.O. Box 9115, Rosslyn Station, Arlington, VA 22219. The requirement and place of performance are not changed. The Government anticipates issuing the solicitation on or about March 2009 via FedBizOpps - no paper copies will be mailed. PHONE CALLS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
