- NBA Entertainment League Celebrity Basketball Game One of the most anticipated annual events at Edwards AFB is the NBA Celebrity Basketball game. Hosted by Services, this year's event will take place May or June 2009 and is expected to draw 2,000 to 6,000 attendees. A temporary basketball court is set up in one of our largest flight hanger and celebrities travel to our military base to play basketball for a grateful crowd. In previous years, we have had such Hollywood stars such as Ice Cube, Taye Diggs, Brian McKnight, Ashton Kutcher, Nick Lachey and Drew Lachey - all were among the NBAE players who donated their time to entertain our military community. Additionally, we invite all military bases in Southern California, from all branches of the service, to be our guests at this event. This is a great opportunity to raise customer awareness of your company with this exclusive military demographic. Sponsorship is fundamental to the success of this event. Edwards AFB invites you to join in supporting the moral, welfare and recreation of our military and their dependents by becoming a commercial sponsor for our 2009 NBA Celebrity Basketball game. Sponsorship may take the form of monetary or in-kind contributions. In appreciation for your sponsorship, your company will receive public recognition and exposure. The level of exposure is determined by the level of sponsorship, with all sponsors prominently acknowledged throughout the event. Sponsor exposure may include name and logo recognition on all event print media, including posters, signage, and banners, brochures, pictures and media coverage. More than one sponsor may be accepted and additives will be considered. All offers will be considered. Under paragraph 4.1 of Air Force Instruction (AFI) 34-407, we are unable to solicit sponsorship from alcohol or tobacco companies, or from defense contractors, including their affiliates, subcontractors, teaming partners, or joint venture partners. Depending on the circumstances, unsolicited sponsorship offers may be accepted if those offers are not in conflict with existing contracts, memorandums of agreement or understanding, or detrimental to business relationships between military and existing civilian contractors. Unsolicited offers are not accepted from barred contractors. If your company is disqualified due to the above criteria, we ask that you do not respond to this sponsorship solicitation. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship by a non appropriated funds instrumentality of the United States Government and does not obligate appropriated funds of the Government.
