- Children's Library Summer Reading Program Edwards Air Force Base Children's Library hosts a Children's Summer Reading event each year. Encouraging reading during the summer, children receive a prize for number of books completed. To celebrate their success, we end this summer program with a huge party with a magician and puppet show, prizes and free food. The Summer reading program expects around 200 participants and sponsorship of this program is a great opportunity to raise customer awareness of your company with this exclusive military demographic. Sponsorship is fundamental to the success of this event. Edwards AFB invites you to join in supporting the moral, welfare and recreation of our military, dependents and civilians by becoming a commercial sponsor for the Summer Reading Program. Sponsorship may take the form of monetary or in-kind contributions. In appreciation of your sponsorship, your company will receive public recognition and exposure. The level of exposure is determined by the level of sponsorship, with all sponsors prominently acknowledged throughout the event. Sponsor exposure may include name and logo recognition on all event print media, including posters, signage, and banners, brochures, pictures and media coverage. More than one sponsor may be accepted and additives will be considered. All offers will be considered. Under paragraph 4.1 of Air Force Instruction (AFI) 34-407, we are unable to solicit sponsorship from alcohol or tobacco companies, or from defense contractors, including their affiliates, subcontractors, teaming partners, or joint venture partners. Depending on the circumstances, unsolicited sponsorship offers may be accepted if those offers are not in conflict with existing contracts, memorandums of agreement or understanding, or detrimental to business relationships between military and existing civilian contractors. Unsolicited offers are not accepted from barred contractors. If your company is disqualified due to the above criteria, we ask that you do not respond to this sponsorship solicitation. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship by a non appropriated funds instrumentality of the United States Government and does not obligate appropriated funds of the Government.
