Description
U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates a firm-fixed-priced, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract with Honeywell Aerospace Inc, 1300 West Warner Rd, P.O. Box 22200, Tempe AZ 85285-2200, for the 60 kVA Generator (P/N 2060041-2) and the 35 kVA Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Generator (P/N 28B508-1B) for use on the MH-60M aircraft. The estimated minimum quantity is 1 unit of the 60 kVA Generator and 1 each 35 kVA APU Generator. The estimated maximum quantity of the 60kVA Generators is 187 units and the estimated maximum quantity of the 35 kVA APU Generators. The proposed action is for commodities of which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6302-1. “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however the Government will consider all proposals received by the specific due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 20 March 2009.
