- The NAVICP intends to award a firm fixed price order under Basic OrderingAgreement N00104-05-G-0726 with Alloy Surfaces for the above listed material. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which theGovernment intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authorityof FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to therequirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request forcompetitive proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty days afterdate of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based uponresponses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This procurement will be negotiated under the specific authority of 10 USC2304(C)(1) with the sole approved source of supply for this material, AlloySurfaces (CAGE 3A367) Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies containedin Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for thedescribed supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to thecontracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government'srequirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
