Description
The Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Walla Walla, Washington, intends to award a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for general construction services for the VAMCs located in Boise, Idaho, and Spokane and Walla Walla, Washington. The MATOC will be competitively solicited. The VA intends to award at least 2 and not more than 6 IDIQ contracts to those offerors providing the best value to the Government. Contractors will be expected to perform work at all three facilities. Orders will be solicited on a competitive basis among the firms holding a MATOC IDIQ contract unless a justification is written and approved supporting a sole source award. This procurement is 100% set aside for service disabled veteran owned small businesses (SDVOSB) and veteran owned small businesses (VOSB) in accordance with Public Law 109-461. This posting is NOT a solicitation. Solicitation VA-260-09-RP-0156 will be available on or about March 9, 2009, and may be requested by sending an email to the Contracting Officer at charlene.duncan@va.gov. Solicitation documents will only be available in electronic format and hardcopy documents will not be issued. Proposals will be due three weeks after issuance of the solicitation documents on or about April 3, 2009. DESCRIPTION. The Contractor will provide all necessary equipment, labor and materials necessary perform general construction, design/build and performance-based construction projects. Projects may involve all types of construction work including, but not limited to, carpentry; asphalt and concrete paving; roofing; excavation; interior renovation; carpet, window and door installation; electrical; plumbing; painting and stucco; demolition; masonry; mechanical and HVAC. The statement of work for this contract does not include any type of medical facilities engineering support services such as utility plant operations, custodial, grounds maintenance, refuse collection/disposal and any other non-construction type work. All responsive offers received from responsible businesses by the due date noted in the solicitation will be considered for an award.
