Davis-Monthan Air Force Base is seeking demolition services to remove existing railroad track and other track materials, approximately 9,320 linear feet, located on the 7 acre property to included road and taxiway locations owned by the Davis-Monthan AFB between Valencia Road and the Union Pacific Rail Road. This is a no cost contract between the Government and the contractor based on the contractor's labor cost to demolish and remove the railroad track versus the salvage value of the track and associated materiels. All spikes, ties, materials, rails and miscellaneous rail items must be removed and site graded level. All work shall be in conformance with the requirements of the contract including furnishing all materials, labor, plant, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, management and other services (including engineering/technical design support), items and incidentals necessary thereto. Price will be based on the largest return to governement. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 12 March 2009. A site visit will be conducted on 19 March 2009, interested parties shall meet at the Craycroft Gate Visitors Center 9 a.m. PDT, at Davis Monthan AFB Tucson, Arizona.
