- WV-0150, "Supplier Data Sheet and Business Size Certification Form" Functional Requirements Document - pages 1-2 Summary Design Criteria - pages 1-4 Scope of Work for Decontamination of 8D-4 Liquids - pages 1-7 This is a sources sought announcement only. This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of current market capabilities. There is not a solicitation available at this time. However, upon review of the capabilities statements, WVES will make a determination if the information submitted meets the minimum technical qualifications specified and whether to include the organization in any future potential solicitation for the scope of work. Interested organizations should submit their written capability statements by 5:00 pm on March 6, 2009 to the following email address: lynn.hollfelder@wves.org. Facsimile transmissions will not be accepted. The proposed scope of work is for decontamination of the WVES Tank 8D-4 liquids. The scope of work includes the following tasks: 1. Conceptual design of process system 2. Preliminary design of process system 3. Final design of process system 4. Fabrication of system and components 5. Fabrication of zeolite-filled waste containers 6. Subcontractor mobilization, system installation support and check-out 7. Operational and processing technical support 8. Shipment of the zeolite waste for disposal at Nevada Test Site Capability statements must include company name, address, point of contact, phone/fax/email, and completion of WVES Form WV-0150, "Supplier Data Sheet and Business Size Certification Form". Capability statements shall include documentation that demonstrates the organization's ability to meet the following minimum requirements: 1. Based on very high radiation levels (5,000 R/hr to 10,000 R/hr) of wastes generated, a minimum of 10 years experience in the design of waste processing systems, processing operations and transportation of wastes having similar radiation levels is required. 2. The ability to provide NRC-licensed Type B casks for transportation of waste packages having contact gamma dose rates of 5,000 to 10,000R/hr to the Nevada Test Site is required. 3. A minimum of 10 years experience in the design of waste packages/demineralizers using zeolite as the media to remove Cs-137 from liquids and having dewatering capabilities to meet Nevada Test Site free liquids limits is required. 4. Based on WVES limitations, the maximum diameter of the zeolite filled waste package/demineralizer cannot exceed 24-inches in diameter. 5. Demonstrate the proposed method of shielding personnel from the 5,000 to 10,000 R/hr gamma dose from the waste package during removal from the cell, removal from the structure and placement in the transport cask. Any proprietary information should be marked as such. Costs shall not be reimbursed for preparations of any information submitted. The following technical documents are attached: 1.
