- RADAR AND WIND TURBINE INTERACTION RFI AND CONFERENCE INFORMATION The purpose of this RFI is to allow the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Directorate of Science and Technology (S&T), Special Programs Division (SPD) in conjunction with the Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Air and Marine (A&M) to solicit information from potential sources to develop a modeling tool to accurately determine the interaction between radars and wind turbine farms (current and proposed). A Conference will be conducted on 25 March 2009 in Atlanta, GA, to facilitate an informational exchange between Industry, Academia, and the Government, regarding the capabilities required to develop a modeling tool to accurately determine the interaction between radars and wind turbine farms (current and proposed). This Conference is open to any interested.
