Description
The purpose of this amendment is to clarify additional questions in regards to solicitation: • If individuals aren't able to attend the scheduled site visit on Thursday 5 March 2009 at 1:00, will they be allowed to provide a proposal? Yes, we will accept all proposals from responsible contractors. • The pictures show a concrete pad, does the contractor need to install this pad as a base? Yes, this base we would expect the contractor to install. • The pictures (provided in the 1st ammendment) show (3) core drilled bollards for impact protection, will the contractor have to install? Yes, the contractor would install. • The pictures show plant power dropping to the deck. Would the contractor be expected to make that power drop connection? The contractor will be expected to hook the box to the Scissor Lift System. • McGuire AFB will support the power supply 120volt and 460volts. • The pictures show convenience outlets on the platform. Is that provided by the AFB or the contractor? They are provided by the contractor. • The lowered height restriction of 14" severely limits the number of vendors who can make the lift. Would you accept a 15-1/2" or 16" lowered height? Yes. This shouldn't be too big of an issue. • Can a contractor build a low profile conveying system on top of it to make up the 1-1/2" to 2" difference? Yes, this should be acceptable. • The write would lead one to believe the conveyor raises and lowers independently of the deck so pallets can either be sitting on the steel structure, or on non-powered rollers. They will be sitting on the Non-Powered rollers only. ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO E-MAIL ME AT THE PROVIDED ADDRESS.
