Description
Sources sought for market research and interested firms for Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Water Treatment at MHAFB, Idaho. The contract will result is an base year with four one-year options. The resulting contract will require the contractor to provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, chemicals, and labor necessary to safely maintain prescribed HVAC Hydronic systems and steam water system requirements in 147 separate buildings located at MHAFB. This will include chemically cleaning closed loop systems and adding chemicals to bring them back to appropriate standards if necessary. The contractor shall maintain all records and reports required to demonstrate that water was maintained within designated parameters. The contractor shall maintain water quality levels in accordance with the contract, the appropriate equipment manufacturer's recommendations, and commercial practices. The contractor shall ensure system water remains environmentally compliant. All work performed shall be according to the appropriate craft and utility code, American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineer (ASHRAE) standards. The contractor shall provide four hour emergency response when needed. All records shall be readily available for Government use and all reports shall be submitted within seven business days from testing. A list of added locations and site water treatment will change with new construction at MHAFB. The purpose of market research is to determine the common practices used in the commercial marketplace and the commercial/industrial standards available. Respondents are requested to complete the attached market research questionnaire and may be required to participate in verbal discussions concerning commercial practices. Any firms who participated in the market research should submit the questionnaire to A1C Matthew Boals by fax at (208) 828-6486 or email at matthew.boals@mountainhome.af.mil by 13 March 09. After market research is completed, the government will determine what industry standards will be included in the performance work statement and the type of business program consideration under which this solicitation will be issued. Request that interested firms notify this office, in writing or by email, of their intention to submit proposals on the requirements as early as possible but not later than 16 March 09. How often are services inspected? 6) What corrective action and when is it taken if the work does not meet standards? 7) What procedures have you established to ensure compliance with hazardous material handling? 8) Can you provide emergency response within 4 hours on and off duty hours if needed?
