- VA-797-09-RI-0052 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR ISOLATION GOWNS RFI closes 4PM Central Standard Time, 3/14/09. The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Acquisition Center, intends to solicit for commercial Isolation Gowns. The VA has a need for information from any vendor who may be able to supply this item. This is an effort to ensure the specifications are not overly restrictive or unreasonable in any way. Please submit any suggestions, questions, inquiries, and/or your firm's ability/interest to provide these items to the Contracting Officer listed below. DO NOT SEND QUOTES OR SAMPLES -THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION Intended Use: To be used as a PPE for Isolation Cases or possible contaminated procedures. Item: Gown, Isolation, Reversible, Reusable - Extra Large 1Fabric Content: Impervious Gown of One Ply 100% Polyester Fiber with Carbon Filament to reduce static discharge. 2Fabric Weight 2.0 oz/Sq Yd to 3.0 oz/Sq Yd. 3Fabric Color - Yellow 4Labeled (Size, Fabric Content, Care Instructions, Country of Manufacture) 5Label Fabric either nylon or polyester. 6Fabric can be commercially laundered 7Fabric must allow sterilization either by autoclaving or gas. 8Binded Neck 9aOverlap not less than 12 in. at closing 9bOpen Sweep (measured across center of gown) range 56" to 58" 9cCenter back Length - Range 41 to 43" Measured from the center of the collar to the bottom finished edge of gown. 10Sleeve Length measured from arm pit seam to finished cuff hem where cuff attached to gown.
