- *Modification is to change the base year option quantity to 76,000, instead of 106,000. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED ON THE WEB VIA FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES (FEDBIZOPS). NO PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION OR AMENDMENTS WILL BE ISSUED. No public announcement of any amendments will be made. Vendors are advised to periodically check the web page for new amendments or other updates. Any changes to the solicitation will be posted only to the website. All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted to the Contract Specialist or Contracting Officer prior to the closing date. Estimated date RFP release is on or about 15 April 2009 with closing date approximately 30 days from issue. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESSES WHO MEET THE SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD OF The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 332439 of 500 employees. This procurement action is for the purchase of the M548 Metal Ammunition Box. This is a water tight steel rectangular cartridge shipping and storage container. It has nominal dimensions of.688 feet width, 1.552 feet length, and 1.219 feet height. It is used to store and transport small caliber ammunition and other military items. This solicitation is to establish a firm fixed price, small business contract for a base plus option and four option years FY09-FY13 for a base quantity of 30,000 each with 76,000 each for the base year option and 91,000 each for option year 1, 103,000 each for option year 2, 104,000 each for option year 3, and 107,000 each for option year 4. Delivery is FOB Destination. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DOD will be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR). You may register via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov or contact the CCR at 1-888-227-2423. The solicitation shall be issued via the Internet at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/ and http://www.fbo.gov. Any changes to the solicitation shall also be posted to these web sites and is the contractors responsibility to check these sites daily for any posted changes.
