Description
This modification is issued to correct the framing rate in the original synopsis as follows: The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source based on the unique capability of 103 frames per trigger at picture resolution of 312 x 260 pixels without image intensification, compact dimensions and weight. The Shimadzu HPV-2 high speed camera system consists of an ISIS CCD high speed camera with framing rates up to 1 million frames per second, minimum 250ns exposures, 103 frames at 312 x 260 pixels regardless of frame rate, Peltier cooled camera head, control computer, monitor, Nikon Bayonet lens mount, interface cables, special control software, power cable, manual and transit case. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Shimadzu Scientific Instruments Inc., 7102 Riverwood Drive, Columbia, MD, 21046-2502. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
