- U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with BAE Systems Aerospace and Defense Group Inc, 7822 S. 46TH Street, Phoenix AZ 85044-5313, for Crew Seat Parts, P/N 110457-1, Upper Outer Attachment; P/N HL64PB87-6-14, Fastener, HI-LOK; and P/N HL64PB87-6-8, Fastener, HI-LOK for the MH-47G aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The proposed action is for items that are designed, developed and manufactured by BAE Systems and the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide this item or equal are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 10 March 2009.
