Description

Sandpoint Ranger District, Boundary County, Idaho. The Beehive Trail Bridge involves the removal of the existing solid sawn stringer trail bridge structure over Pack River and replacing it with a new Government furnished steel Half-Through Pony Truss pedestrian bridge on concrete grade beams. Work will include transporting and installing the steel trail bridge superstructure, supplying and installing precast concrete grade beams, structural excavation, supplying and placing riprap and crushed aggregate, backfilling, erosion control measures and all other incidental work items. The Pack River Road Upgrade involves subgrade, surface course and drainage improvement work on Pack River Forest Development Road (FDR) No. 231 (12.3 miles), Trailhead access Road No. 2653 (0.10 miles) and Trailhead Access Road No. 279 (0.15 miles). Work includes supplying and placing approximately 4,035 ton of crushed roadway aggregate and associated equipment rental. Government estimated price range between $25, 000 and $100,000. Estimated start work May 2009 with completion September 2009.
