- Description
- Contractor will furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, and transportation necessary for Project Number 636-09-101A, "Renovate Building 6 for New Dental Clinic" and Project Number 636-09-101B, "Utility Corridor" at the Department of Veteran Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS) Omaha VA Medical Center. Project Number 636-09-101A will primarily consist of approximately 4,683SF of renovation including building envelope repair and restoration, such as roof and exterior walls. The renovated space will be used for future medical/dental outpatient occupancy. The project will also consist of an addition to the existing building of approximately 2,500SF, brick veneer exterior with a shingled hipped-roofed. Project Number 636-09-101B will include the installation of new site utilities to include fiber-optic network communications, telephone, sewer and electrical to support future expansion or additions to existing out buildings and to support future modular buildings. All work shall be preformed in accordance with specifications and drawings. Solicitation number VA-263-09-IB-0157 for this effort will be released on or about March 19, 2009. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and information necessary to bid the project. A Site Visit is tentatively scheduled for March 25 at 1:00PM local time (see solicitation when available for further details). Bid opening is tentatively scheduled for April 20, 2009 at 2:00PM local time (see solicitation when available for further details. Successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of contract award notification. Period of Performance is expected to be 400 days from the issuance of the Notice-To-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The combined estimate of these two projects is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
