- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a follow-on single source contract to Technology Services Corporation for the Radar Support System (RSS) Tool and RSS Technical Support Services. The tool is used for assistance in the siting (i.e. location analysis) of new Radar equipment and re-siting of existing equipment. Included also are radar optimization, radar detection problem investigation and analysis, and siting of other FAA equipment such as navigation and communication systems. Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. A market survey was posted to the FAA Business Opportunities Web Site with the purpose of the determining the capability and interest of vendors to satisfy the ongoing requirement for the Radar Support System (RSS) Tool and RSS Technical Support Services. The only respondent to the market survey was incumbent contractor Technology Services Corporation. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal.
