- The Bureau of Reclamation Middle Snake Field Office has a best value, small business set aside requirement to furnish all labor and materials needed to apply herbicides for maintenance of bare ground and contact herbicides and pesticides at part turf areas at the following locations: ANDERSON RANCH DAM, ARROWROCK DAM, BLACK CANYON DAM, BLACK CANYON IRRIGATION DISTRICT SWITCHYARD, BLACK CANYON C-LINE, CASCADE DAM, DEADWOOD DAM, BLACK CANYON PARK, COBBLESTONE PARK, MONTOUR CAMPGROUND, TRIANGLE PARK, WILDROSE PARK AND MANNCREEK - (SPANGLER RESERVOIR). This contract for weed control services ( ITEMS 1 THROUGH 28 ) will be for the base year period of 0/3/30/2009 through 11/30/2009 - Option Year 001 - ITEMS 29 through 56 - will be for the period 3/01/2010 through 11/30/2010. Option year 002 - ITEMS 57 through 84 will be for the period 3/01/2011 through 11/30/2011. General Information: This solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) on or about March 9, 2009. 09SQ110026 will be available electronically and must be downloaded from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at www.fbo.gov. Offers will be due on or before March 25th, 2009. Pre-proposal site visits are scheduled for March 17 and 18 th per the schedule in the Statement of Work. The tour may be rescheduled depending on weather or site conditions. Site visits are strongly recommended as there are no maps of the areas available. Information regarding the site visits excluding the Anderson and Cascade sites, can only be obtained by calling Brent Jensen at 365-2600 ex 18. It is anticipated that the work shall begin the week of March 30th 2009. The control work specified in this contract will require multiple site visits during spring, summer and early fall seasons. Other information: Important Notices: 1) Contractor must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be eligible for award; 2) Submission of quotes must be in accordance with the solicitation; and 3) The anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract made based on the Best Value to the Government. This acquisition is to be set aside 100% for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561730. The Small Business size standard for this code is $6,500,000.
