Description
T HIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR UNDER IBM05D0001, S&B INFRASTRUCTURE, LTD. The International Boundary & Water Commission, United States Section (USIBWC), requires the services in accordance with the scope of work (SOW) entitled Design of Rehabilitation Improvements of the Hidalgo Protective Levee System, Phase I, Revised, within the Lower Rio Grande Flood Control Project, City of Hidalgo, Hidalgo County, Texas. The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) issued a task order for the Design of Rehabilitation Improvements of the Hidalgo Protective Levee System within the Lower Rio Grande Flood Control Project in 2007. The project under this task order was divided into two phases: Phase 1 covered the length of existing levee from Common Rio Grande/Main Floodway levee to just upstream of the southbound Hidalgo-Reynosa bridge and Phase II covered the length from just upstream of the southbound Hidalgo-Reynosa bridge to the east end of the project. The Contractor shall design a transition from the north end of the floodwall in Segment O-6A to be incorporated with the existing design of the Hidalgo Project, starting at approximately Station 195+66 of the existing design and ending within a distance of 400 ft. From the north end of the transition to the intersection of the levee with the Common Levee, the Contractor shall apply the levee design taken directly from the Hidalgo Project design under Task order IBM05T0021. All design requirements under Task Order IBM05T0021 remain the same. These requirements include the same top of levee elevations and levee rehabilitation criteria for the design flood protection with 3 feet of freeboard. All contract documents submitted for the original Hidalgo Project under Task Order IBM05T0021 shall be revised to reflect the required transition and shortened reach. The Contractor shall submit the following documents: revised specification, drawings, quantities, engineer's construction cost estimate, and design report to reflect the new project limits.
